Arts and Business Team Supports Boys Town CaliforniaA very special event recently brought together the arts and business communities to benefit the unique programs provided by Boys Town California. “Light the Night with Art for Children” was held at the Newport Sea Base in Newport Beach May 10. The event was hosted by the Orange County Executive Network (OCEN). OCEN is a group of established business executives who share common values and actively network together to empower and build their businesses. The organization selected Boys Town California as one of the area’s leading resources for services targeting at-risk families and children. “As business leaders, we are acutely aware of how important it is to ensure that everyone in our community has the opportunity to be productive and lead a fulfilling life,” said OCEN Chairman Debbie McMaster. “OCEN is very pleased to have this chance to make a contribution to the success of a exceptional and proven organization like Boys Town.”
The elegant evening showcased local artists from Laguna Beach and surrounding areas in an event designed to raise vital resources to help fund Intervention and Assessment Services, Treatment Family Homes, and In-Home Family Services offered by Boys Town California. The night also included a silent auction and music for a festive and exciting experience. Artists who generously participated by exhibiting their work included Shane Nearman, James Caprell, Gary Kutscher, Ebrahim Amin and Ingiborg Hauksdottir. Sponsors for the event were Morgan Stanley, KCOMM, The Hartmann Law Firm, OCEN, Wright Ford Young & Co., Stoody Mills Lansford Walker & Doyle, and Lincoln Financial.
