Pennsylvania Youth Grateful for Others’ Generosity
Despite the busyness of the holiday season, Boys Town Pennsylvania children held fast to the gifts that really matter. After the tree was selected, ornaments made and cultural traditions celebrated, the youth took time to thank the people around them for making the holidays a special time.
“A lot of people don’t care about us,” said Francis, a shelter youth. “They would not come here to spend time with us like this – look at all the staff who came here. I don’t know about (the other kids), but I feel happy, and you should feel happy too because even though we are away from our families, this is like a family and they all came together to do all of this just for us.”
On Christmas Eve, the girls will help Pennsylvania Cares and Friends of the Elderly deliver gifts, food baskets and flowers to the elderly.

For the fourth year, Mark Muro and Mary Webb of Sacramento, Calif., have reached out to their community to gather donations to provide the youth at Boys Town Pennsylvania with gifts and festivities during the holiday season. This year, Muro teamed with his law firm partner Ross Lampe to adopt the shelter on their own. The Muro & Lampe Law Firm single-handedly provided all the youth with gifts for the holiday season.
