Boys Town New York Golf Classic
Raises Funds for Children and Programs
The first annual Boys Town New York Golf Classic was in full swing June 16, raising more than $70,000 to support programs that benefit its children and families. Boys Town New York staff, sponsors and volunteers gathered at the North Jersey Country Club to enjoy a day of golf, contests, prizes, raffles and a dinner.

 Boys Town is a beacon of hope for America’s children and families through its life-changing youth care and health care programs across the United States. Now 90 years strong, Boys Town is embarking a new mission to affect change in a puzzling system of youth care by building a continuum of family services to provide the right services at the right time based on a child’s or family’s needs. Partnering with families, our nonprofit, nonsectarian organization provides abused, abandoned and neglected children with a safe, caring, loving environment where they gain confidence to get better and learn skills to become productive citizens. Boys Town works with communities and schools in order to meet the growing and more diverse needs of today’s children and families.
Since opening in 1991, Boys Town New York has served more than 4,000 children and families through its various programs. In 2007, 470 children received help from Boys Town New York’s Treatment Family Services and Intervention and Assessment Services. Another 106,663 children and families in the greater New York area were assisted through Child and Family Support Services, including the Boys Town National Hotline (800.448.3000).
